My home study has been approved!!! What a relief to have that analysis of my life and parenting abilities over! Actually, when I think about it, the social workers kept saying how prepared I was. Hhhmmmm... yeah, that would be the Haggerty in me! And my dad passing on my love of books and reading sure didn't hurt. Thanks to everyone for your support over the past month.
Next steps...Heather and Cindy, my SW's have up to 30 days to write my adoption study, but Heather says that I'm on the top of her list, so am hoping it will be less. I then need to put together my dossier. This includes all info about me: my adoption study, financial statements, birth certificates, USCIS approval (immigration), letter of why I want to adopt from Ethiopia, and health information, all of which need to be notarized.
