Grandpa

Birhane takes a bit to warm up to new people. She generally watches you and gradually lets you get a little closer. She also prefers mama to anyone, which, of course, is great for attachment. She still has jet lag, as do I. Although it is very helpful for me to stay awake during the day, even though she is napping. She's got the naps down at 10 and 2. However, she prefers to wake up 3:30-4. This morning I was able to get her back to sleep for an hour, until 5:20. Woohoo! I even dozed for 15 minutes before she awoke totally for the day. Right now, Grandma is giving me a break. My mom has been staying with us since we got home and will leave Thursday afternoon. (Yikes!--I'll be alone:))

Oh, yes, the heading of this post. Grandpa playing in the sun with Birhane. One of her favorite toys, so far, are blocks.
