No pictures this time. Birhane and I were out for a walk Monday night. It has been so warm here. I'm very grateful for this out of the ordinary weather. But, because it was so warm, I had my hands in my pockets and no mittens. Birhane decided to do the same. Never again will I make that mistake. After 1.5 miles we were just 2 blocks from home when she totally bit the sidewalk. Of course, if she would have had her hands out, they would have broken the fall. Her mouth was pretty messed up. Upper and lower lip cuts. Crazy amount of swelling. Upper lip abrasion. Because of her overbite, behind her upper front there were cuts from her lowers. Blood, and 3 small chips on her teeth. And, slight abrasion on her gums.
The good news is we saw her dentist, Dr. R. today. No fractures below the gum line. There is still a chance the blood supply could have been impaired to those teeth and they could still change color. The good news is she will be 4 in May and I would expect she will be loosing those teeth anyway before 6.
Other good news when I arrived home. One of the trees I have wanted to room will be removed by Xcel FOR FREE because of its close proximity to power lines. Yes, I AM excited about this. It will save me about $1,000.
Grateful for small things today.
