umbrella

Birhane's idea to make an umbrella today.  Totally her ideas and creation.  Creative play has greatly taken off in the past few weeks... I credit the need for her to play independently while I completed 3 (yes 3) offers on 3 different properties.  (Finally got the 3rd property.)  She also went to camp at Tamarack Nature Center.  We love that place.  Plus, actually recycling so many things, gives her space to play and the need to be more creative with what she does have.  One happy girl these days.  Actually, we are both happy girls these days.  There have been some anxious moments for me making these life altering decisions, but what great decisions they are becoming.  We are moving to a larger space, but a condo (yes, I think it's ok to raise a child in a condo).  We look out at Linwood park across the street.  No more worries about maintaining the outside and no more prioritizing challenges for me (build a new fence or fund the college fund?).  I'll also be going back to working 4 days/week.  More balance for both of us.
