My first cornrows...Feeling inspired. Post photos quickly before the feeling passes...
Birhane came home with her first homework on Friday. Are 2 year olds really supposed to be writing letters and the word "eight"? Seems like some hefty expectations, but we'll work on it without pressure.
Suddenly loves playing hide and seek.
Still loving puzzles and games.
Working on stopping "the finger" (sucking, that is).
Pretending to run away from monsters. Didn't get that at home.
Telling me stories about what happens at school.
Truly potty trained. And, it is FABULOUS and FREEDOM.
Ran up to me yesterday, gave me a hug, and said, "I love you mama." That was the first time it was spontaneous (and I could understand).
I look at her and see pure beauty. Yes, I'm in love.
Have a week of vacation in August that we don't have plans for yet. Suggestions? Oh, wait, I don't think anyone reads this blog anymore after no posts for 2 months!

Hey, I check your blog almost every day. Today was the day!! Loved all the pictures, the different hairdos, activities, accomplishments and seeing her beautiful smile. How about a photo of Mama sometime?? Love to both of you. Auntie nancy
