Ok, posting a day early, but while I'm inspired and stuck at home... Birhane and I watched her lifebook dvd last night. She was very interested and asked questions. During the care center part of the dvd, she kept repeating, "Mama's not there. Mama's not there. Birhane is sad." "Yes, Mama was not there yet. Pretty soon, you will meet Mama for the first time." So heartbreaking to hear, yet so good she can verbalize, age-appropriately, that she identifies herself as sad and knew that I wasn't there. Sigh. I know this will all get much, much harder as she grows older. Sigh. Ok, here's the fluff that you were looking for: 1-potty trained! 2-officially a preschooler!--loves her new class--just a little seperation anxiety this week 3-loves helping with meals and daily activies (how long will this last?) 4-can get dressed and undressed; needs help getting zippers started 5-keeps getting taller--I should measure. A, a school friend was born the same week. I smile each time they hug each other as A is several inches and pounds less than B. 6-enjoying coloring again. She refused, at home, to color for a long time. Now, she's been, excitedly, making pictures for me. Loves using a pencil, and now holds it correctly.
